lyrics:
i’m getting too old for this, i swear sometimes i wonder why i still bother to care i should know i’m destined to go through this life all alone
when i was younger, i thought by now i’d have everything i’d ever want in this world for me but to my disappointment i’ve been thinking i was closer to that back when i still believed those things oh, but you, maybe you could change that for me
i’ll see you in the spring, tell me that you’ll wait for me like robins flying north i’ll be running to your door i’ll sing your favorite song, watch the frozen forest thaw all these years that it’s been dry, but with you on my side my sky won’t stop raining in all the right ways i used to wander the valleys alone and now i’ll race you through the Floodplains
they say that good things, they come to those willing to wait for ‘em but patience ain’t never been something i had that much strength in
when i was younger, i thought I’d be top of the whole world by the time i turned 18 oh, but you, maybe you’re headed the same way
i’ll see you in the spring, tell me that you’ll wait for me like robins flying north i’ll be running to your door i’ll sing your favorite song, watch the frozen forest thaw all these years that it’s been dry, but with you on my side my sky won’t stop raining in all the right ways i used to wander the valleys alone and now i’ll race you through the Floodplains
